From November 18 to 20, 2024, Basel has hosted an exciting conducting masterclass led by Johannes Schlaefli, one of the most renowned educators in the field of orchestral conducting. Taking place at the Musik- und Kulturzentrum Don Bosco, this event offers young conductors the unique opportunity to work with the Basel Chamber Orchestra, known for its exceptional artistry.

The program will focus on works by Mozart, Bartók, Dvořák, and Janáček, specifically arranged for string orchestra. The event culminated in a final concert on November 20, where participants will showcase their progress under the guidance of Maestro Schlaefli.

This will happend again between May 25-28, 2025
